Riitta Sinkkonen Davies
Riitta Sinkkonen Davies is a textile artist based
in Pembrokeshire in south-west Wales. In addition to
selling work from her own workshop / gallery, Riitta
has exhibited in numerous national and international
exhibitions. She has also been commissioned to produce
work for many private clients, several national museums
and the ordination of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The Slate Workshop
The Slate Workshop, established since 1985, is situated
in a renovated 18th century corn mill near the small
village of Llangolman in West-Wales. The picture below
shows the workshop and showroom building which is alongside
the Eastern Cleddau River. In the workshop we design
and make unique, high quality items from Welsh slate.
Richard hand-cuts his lettering using the traditional
'dummy' and chisel. We also offer the alternative of
computer generated/sand-blasted designs. The photo below
shows some of the tools Richard uses in hand-cutting
the lettering and designs.
